CARSON CITY — Efforts to secure voting rights for Nevada women began as early as 1869 — just five years after statehood – but it wouldn’t be until 1914 that male voters passed the state’s women’s suffrage amendment.

I don’t have a valentine but I have a BF who I affectionately call Izzy. Two weeks ago she was in a very serious head on collision on Highway 50. A woman was going the wrong direction on the highway. She was airlifted to Renown, is finally home and has a long recovery ahead of her. I would love to do something special for her in her time of healing, and quite frankly anytime! She is caring, loving, compassionate, giving, honest and so much more! She never asks for anything so I hope you’ll consider my story so I could surprise her with an evening out! She deserves it!
