A police chase was brought to an end near the rifle range on Friday morning after multiple units from several agencies chased a man both in vehicles and on foot.

Strong outflow winds and thunderstorms are headed into Carson Valley, Carson City, Dayton and Lake Tahoe areas, according to the National Weather Service in a Wednesday afternoon special weather statement.

Carson City Fire Department and sheriff's deputies were called Wednesday afternoon to a crash involving a motorcycle in the area of Stewart Street and Little Lane.

The crash was reported at around 1:45 p.m. First responders report the rider was up and walking around. The cause is unknown at this time. Motorists can expect traffic delays.

Beginning Monday, Carson City Health and Human Services stopped all testing for COVID-19 at their location, causing confusion for some individuals on how and where they can receive tests if they fear they've been exposed.

According to Jessica Rapp, Public Information Officer for CCHHS, the decision to end testing is due to a decrease in demand for testing, and the increase in availability of testing throughout our community.
