Carson City Board of Supervisors to hold special meeting regarding appeal of new development requirements
A public hearing will be held on Thursday, Aug. 5 beginning at 8:30 a.m. to hear an appeal of the Carson City Planning Commission’s decision to deny an appeal regarding a water main extension into a new development.
On April 30, city staff approved a tentative parcel map proposing to divide 15.13 acres into three parcels, ranging form 3.05 acres to 9.02 acres in size. The property is zoned Single Family 1 acre, located at 3042 Combs Canyon Road.
The tentative parcel map was approved, subject to 8 conditions. An appeal of condition 8 was filed by the applicant on May 3, which requires the extension of the water main and associated improvements, including a pressure reducing valve.
The Planning Commission heard the appeal on May 26, and voted to uphold staff’s decision, denying the applicant’s appeal.
The applicant has now appealed the Planning Commission’s decision, and will be heard by the Board of Supervisors, who may affirm, modify, or reverse the decision of the Planning Commission.
