The Carson City Sheriff’s Office would like to welcome everyone into a new year with some traffic safety tips regarding pedestrians on the roadway. This educational message is not only for the motorists but also the pedestrians walking on Nevada roadways.

The next Carson City Board of Supervisors meeting will be held on Thursday, Feb. 2 beginning at 8:30 a.m. in the Bob Crowell Board Room of the Community Center, located at 851 E. William Street.

Members of the public who wish only to view the meeting but do NOT plan to make public comment may watch the livestream of the Board of Supervisors meeting at https://www.carson.org/granicus and by clicking on “In progress” next to the meeting date, or by tuning in to cable channel 191.

On Tuesday, Carson City’s The Fox Brewery and Pub announced an expansion into Reno, taking up residence at the previous Silver Peak Brewery and Restaurant in Midtown, located at 124 Wonder Street.

Silver Peak closed its doors in 2020 after 21 years in operation and will be given new life with the Fox.

The Reno Jazz Orchestra (RJO) hosts the 23rd annual Jazz in the Schools program on Saturday, February 11, 2023. Over 350 middle and high school musicians and 22 jazz ensembles from local schools will participate this year.
