Historical Coin Press No. 1 at the Nevada State Museum, Carson City, has resumed demonstrations Saturdays in January and February, with the minting of a commemorative medallion honoring Western explorer John C. Fremont.

A vehicle crash involving two vehicles was reported just before 12:30 in the area of the Carson City Nugget near Robinson Street.

Deputies are working to clear to the roadway currently and traffic should be opened back up soon.

No injuries are reported.

Motorists should seek alternate routes until the roadway reopens.

Carson City Symphony Association announces the Joyful Noise Carson Children’s Choir will begin the Spring Session on Tuesday, January 25, from 5:15 to 6:15 p.m., upstairs at the First United Methodist Church, 412 W. Musser Street in Carson City.

In the Quad Counties of Carson City, Douglas County, Lyon County and Storey County as of Jan. 19, there have been 27,191 total confirmed COVID-19 cases, and 419 people have died from COVID-19.

Test positivity rates have increased dramatically within the Quad Counties, with Douglas County taking the lead at nearly 35 percent. There are currently 43 COVID-19 patients hospitalized within the Quad-Counties.
