A vehicle crash was reported just before 7 p.m. Friday night near Highway 50 W. and Golf Club Drive.

According to callers, one vehicle has spun out and another vehicle has struck it.

Through the Greater Nevada Mortgage (GNM) Keys to Greater program, a portion of the revenue from every new mortgage or refinanced mortgage funded through GNM in 2021 was donated to the Eddy House. With the help of almost 2,000 mortgage clients, GNM contributed a total of $119,300 last year; this donation helped meet the needs of nearly 12,000 client visits to the Eddy House in 2021.

As of Feb. 9, test positivity rate remains extremely high within the quad counties, with an average of 40.6 percent of all tests returning positive, according to Nevada Health Response.

However, while case transmission and test positivity remains high, there is also a downward trend from the peak highs occurring at the end of January and the beginning of February.

East Fork Fire and Carson City Fire Department and the Nevada State Police Highway Patrol division responded early Tuesday evening to a rollover crash on US-395 in the southbound lane near Sunridge. Injuries are reported and a Care Flight air ambulance has been ordered.
The crash was reported at around 5:30 p.m. at Plymouth Drive and Highway 395. Motorists can expect delays.

The Carson City Sheriff's Office still has openings for its Winter 2022 Citizen Academy, which begins next week. This session will run 10 consecutive weeks from Wednesday, Feb. 16 through Wednesday, April 20.

The University of Nevada, Reno Extension’s Herds and Harvest Program is hosting a new Farm to Fork Certification Program in March. The courses in this program will offer information for beginning farmers and ranchers on the process of livestock and poultry production, from raising livestock to selling the products on the market.
