Special Valentine’s classes offered this weekend at the Brewery Arts Center
The Brewery Arts Center in Carson City is hosting two special Valentine’s classes this weekend. First, Friday night’s Adult Paint and Sip is where you can paint on your own canvas or share to create “Lock and Key” with artist Debbie Corona.
Meanwhile, Monday night, join Kym Maehl to make “Mystic-See Glass” Jewelry Making Class. Both classes are for beginners and take place in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
The adult Paint and Sip is a fun and easy acrylic painting class as you follow along with your instructor. The Valentine’s Special is a double canvas painting for $65 or 1 canvas for $40. You can share with your partner or paint your own, it is up to you. Price includes two complimentary beverages. Classes will take place in the BAC Painting Studio. All materials are included. Class begins at 7 p.m.
Instructions will be given through verbal, visual, demonstrations and examples.
Jewelry artist, Kym Maehl, is offering a special Valentine's Day class in which she will guide you through the twists and turns of creating a unique "Mystic See-Glass" necklace.
Inspired by the Sea and geared for all skill levels, these wonderful, whimsical pieces are made of tumbled glass, copper wire, and maybe crystals or pearls. Finish them off with silk cord and they quickly become wearable art.
They are simple, and simply delightful and you will be making more than one!
The class takes place at the BAC Pottery Studio on Monday, February, 14, 2022 from 5:30 - 7:30. The cost is $40 per person + $5 to Instructor for Supplies.
Wine and other beverages are included and masks & vaccinations required.
You can register for both classes on the BAC website; breweryarts.org under the “Classes, Concerts and Events” link.
