Soroptimist of Carson City invites Ruby Award submissions for recognition event

February 18, 2022 (All day) Soroptimist International of Carson City is seeking nominations and applications for its annual Ruby Award. The Soroptimist Ruby Award honors women who, through their professional or personal efforts, are making extraordinary differences in the lives of women or girls in the areas of health, education, and economic and social development and inspires and encourages other women.
Women may nominate themselves or another woman they feel is deserving of this honor. The successful nominee/applicant will be honored by Soroptimist at its Annual “Celebrating Women Helping Women” Event program at The Casino Fandango on May 19, 2022 or a future Soroptimist Luncheon Meeting. The successful applicant/nominee may designate a 501c (3), Non-profit or Not-for-profit organization to which a monetary award will be donated in her honor and her application will be forwarded to Soroptimist International of the Americas, Sierra Nevada Region for consideration at the Regional level.
Soroptimist International of Carson City is a volunteer service organization that provides women and girls with access to the education and training they need to achieve economic empowerment. Founded in 1957, the Carson City club is part of Soroptimist International of the Americas where almost 160,000 Soroptimists in 21 countries and territories contribute time and financial support to community-based projects that benefit women and girls. Soroptimist focuses its efforts in the areas of health, education, economic and social development, international good will and understanding and human rights/status of women. Internationally, there are clubs in more than 120 countries throughout the world.
