WE of the World Carson City Monthly Luncheon
Our guest speaker this month is Tammy Westergard Deputy Director of Carson City Public Library. Tammy Westergard is an active Carson City leader, volunteer and professional. After four years with the Carson City Office of Business Development as well as serving on the library's Foundation board, in 2010 she became the Deputy Director of Carson City Public Library. In that capacity she facilitated the opening of the Business Resource and Innovation Center, a specialized resource focused exclusively on supporting local businesses. As a life-long resident, Tammy has exercised her passion and commitment to community organizing through helping to develop our city’s street life program that includes summertime concerts, the downtown farmer's market and wintertime ice skating. Her efforts, which also encompass promoting Carson’s City Center project, have been recognized in regional and national publications. Earlier in her career, Tammy accrued experience in marketing, publishing and teaching while she and her husband raised three children. As an empty-nester, she is now pursuing a masters of library science as well as certification in fund raising excellence through the national Association of Fundraising Professionals.
Tammy will tell you the not-so-secret key to accessing these services. Curious? Come find out at our April 14th meeting!
