Urban Renewal Project headlines Saturday's Carson City summer outdoor concert series

The Levitt AMP Carson City outdoor concert series continues Saturday with Urban Renewal Project, a 16-piece collective that combines elements of jazz, hiphop and vintage soul that will bring genre-bending music to the Connections Central stage at the Brewery Arts Center.

Their explosive live performances have captivated audiences from SXSW to the Java Jazz Festival. Building off the success of recent singles “Will to Survive” featuring Vic Mensa & “Don’t Ask Y” featuring Camp Lo the group is putting the finishing touches on its fourth album, set for release later this year.

Opening act Lily Baran will kick things off at 7 p.m. with Urban Renewal Project taking the stage at 8 p.m. For additional fun the BAC campus will have a kids area, family games, 4 food trucks, and 2 bars. Lawn chairs are welcome but folding chairs will be available for those that prefer to travel light. Well behaved pets on leashes are welcome too! This week's artist sponsor is The Fire Circle.
