The search for a local man deemed missing or endangered has apparently ended in Lee Vining.

Preliminary police reports as of 3 p.m. are that Gordon Campbell has been found alive and OK in Lee Vining. Details continue to be forthcoming in this developing story.

A 34-year-old man was arrested Jan. 14, 8:15 p.m. at 20 College Parkway and is being held without bail on a fugitive from justice warrant out of California, according to the Carson City Sheriff's Office.

Nicholas Schroeder also faces a misdemeanor charge of possession of marijuana. According to the arrest report, officers responded on an anonymous tip that Schroeder was at a residence and had the warrant.

A fully-involved fire destroyed a Gardnerville Ranchos home near Chambers Field in Douglas County on Tuesday night, authorities said. No one was injured and the cause of the fire is under investigation.

East Fork Fire and Paramedic District responded to the house fire at 1136 Meadowlark Circle in the Gardnerville Ranchos at 8:45 p.m.

Please join us on February 15th for the fourth annual Carson High School Safe Grad - Safe & Sober 5K Run/Walk. This event is organized by volunteers of the Safe Grad Committee.

Carson High Safe Grad program has been an annual tradition in Carson City for over 20 years. It provides our graduating seniors with a safe and sober, all night celebration on the evening of their graduation, followed by a trip to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom amusement park in Northern California.

A 23-year-old Carson City woman turned herself into Carson City Jail deputies Monday on a felony charge of suspicion of first offense burglary.

Melissa Eleanor Mulder was being held on $20,000 bondable bail. A warrant for her arrest was issued Jan. 2, 2014 out of Carson City Justice Court.

The @ Two Digital Learning Center, on the second-floor of the Carson City Library, has launched learning opportunities by scheduling a new-round of basic computer classes.

Located on the second floor of the library annex, above the current Youth Department, @Two has been a busy community resource for patrons over the last year. Unfortunately access to the second-floor has been unreliable thanks to an aging and highly temperamental elevator.
