Pilots will be discussing the Principles of Flight and general information about aircraft and flying. We will also be discussing our Young Eagles Program and how kids can get a free flights in an aircraft.

To mirror the events of 1920, Air Mail 100 Centennial Flights project is flying a near mirror version of the stops with minor variations to accommodate airport impacts.

Loyalton Fire burns more than 36,000 acres, 5 percent contained

The Loyalton Fire north of the California, Nevada state line has burned 36,295 acres and is 5 percent contained as of Monday morning, according to the U.S. Forest Service. The fire, which is believed to have started by lightning, has destroyed 5 homes and six outbuildings.

Carson City's Rebecca Ostrander overcomes brain tumor, set to graduate from UNLV

Obstacles are nothing new for Carson City native Rebecca Ostrander.

Ostrander, 21, suffered a brain tumor shortly after her 18th birthday. She was forced to spend most of her senior year of high school in hospitals and physical therapy recovery centers.

The Carson Junior Victory Rollers are headed to the Shamblock Shake tournament hosted by Los Anarchists roller derby team to compete on behalf of our great city. It was an honor for us to be invited and we hope we can make you all proud and come back with a win.

For Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribe, bighorn sheep reintroduction part of decades-long effort to recover wildlife

Tribal members, conservationists and students, bundled up in thick coats and beanies, gathered in two rows fanning out from transport trailers to watch the release into tribal land, an area usually closed to the public. Bighorn sheep, separated into two trailers, rushed out in waves.

Carson City's greenUP! receives recycling grant to further Carson Street Green Dining District

greenUP!, a nonprofit organization that provides environmental education to businesses, announced it has received a $12,898 grant from the Nevada Division of Environmental Protection Bureau of Sustainable Materials Management 2020 Recycling Grant Program.
