Mayoral candidate to speak at Monday's Democratic luncheon

Since graduating from UNR in 2014, Devan has made his mark in the renewable energy industry. Early voting for the June 11 primary starts on May 25th and will run through Friday, June 7th. The primary's top two will go on to the November 5th general election.

Carson City School Board agrees to August 24 start date, hybrid schedule for all schools

Her last day is Thursday as she and her husband Bob will be relocating to Oregon. Carson City's ‘I Voted’ Sticker Design Competition Student Winners Announced

The competition was open to students grades 9-12 enrolled in any high school in Carson City, Nevada. Students were encouraged to submit creative designs that excite and encourage voting participation.
Carson City School District: Pass/Fail grading benefits students without negative consequences

The decision comes as principals, instructional leaders, district-level administrators and members of the teachers’ union have discussed the extension of school closures following spring break.

Carson City outlines department closures, services available in response to coronavirus threat

In close coordination with Carson City Health and Human Services, the City Manager’s Office along with City departments in an abundance of caution are coordinating the closure of some offices to take additional measures to slow the spread of respiratory viruses. Carson City Library remains open with limited services, programs canceled
Submitted by Carson Now Reader on Mon, 03/16/2020 - 12:48pmIn response to health concerns from COVID-19 and recommendations from the governor's office, the Carson City Library is canceling all programs until April 6 or until the State Medical Officer evaluates the public health risk and determines it is safe to resume normal operations. At this time public computers and meeting rooms are unavailable. All homebound service and outreach activities are suspended.
