Wild Horse Children's Theater holding auditions for spring productions

Wild Horse Children’s Theater is looking for actors, singers and dancers, ages 5 and up, for our spring productions of Disney’s 101 Dalmations, Kids and Disney’s Beauty & the Beast, Jr.
Auditions will be held Thursday, Jan. 15 and Saturday, Jan. 17 at the Brewery Arts Center Performance Hall on King St. in Carson City. Callbacks, for Beauty and the Beast only, are Sunday, January 18. Auditions are by appointment only! You must call 775-887-0438 for an audition slot.
Those auditioning should bring a short (1 minute or less) song with accompaniment on tape or CD that showcases your vocal ability. (No background vocals, please. We want to hear what YOU can do!) You will also be taught a dance. Please wear comfortable clothes and shoes and plan to arrive early to fill out forms, including parental consent forms.
Disney’s 101 Dalmatians, Kids is based on the classic animated film and is a fur-raising adventure featuring Cruella De Vil, Disney's most outrageous villain, and 101 of the most adorable heroes to set their paws onstage. This musical will be cast with actors ages 5-14 and performances are March 13-22, 2015 at the Brewery Arts Center Performance Hall.
Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Jr. is a “tale as old as time” and includes all of the wonderful songs from the film, plus new songs written especially for the Broadway version. This musical will be cast with actors ages 5 and up and performances are June 5, 6, 7, 12, 13, 14 at the Bob Boldrick Theater at the Carson City Community Center. There will be an audition/dance workshop offered for this production on Tuesday, Jan. 13 and actors auditioning for Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Jr. are strongly encouraged to attend.
Actors can audition and perform in both shows! Rehearsals will begin the end of January and will be held Wednesdays and Thursdays from 4:15-6:00 p.m. for 101 Dalmatians, Kids and 6:15 -8:00 p.m. for Beauty and the Beast, Jr. After 101 Dalmatians, Kids opens in March, rehearsals for Beauty and the Beast will go to 4:15-6:30 p.m. for the remainder of the rehearsal period. Cast members will get a full rehearsal schedule at the first rehearsal. Not everyone will be required to be at every rehearsal. Frequency of rehearsals and specific time commitment varies with each role. but those auditioning will be asked to list any rehearsal conflicts so please bring your calendars.
