Carson City emergency crews called to vehicle crash involving pedestrian on North Carson Street
UPDATE 9:46PM: The condition of the male pedestrian, approximately 29 years of age, is unknown at this time, according to a Carson City Sheriff's Office sergeant. He was taken by ambulance to Renown Medical Center in Reno. The driver in the accident was not impaired, according to the sergeant. The Nevada Highway Patrol is assisting in the investigation.

Carson City Fire Department and sheriff's deputies responded Tuesday evening to a vehicle accident involving a pedestrian near the 2500 block of North Carson Street.
The incident was reported at 6:30 p.m. The pedestrian was reportedly conscious and bleeding from the head. The patient was to taken by ambulance to the trauma ward at Renown Medical Center in Reno.
Northbound traffic on North Carson Street is blocked. Traffic has been diverted at Hot Springs Road. Motorists are advised to find alternate routes.
The cause of the crash is under investigation. We will update as more information becomes available.
