'A Taste of the Good Life' now serving up lunchtime fare at Living the Good Life in Carson City
Midday has got a bit more variety in Carson City now with the new lunch menu being offered by Living the Good Life.
A Taste of the Good Life is run by Eddie Miller, who has taken it upon herself to offer a tastings menu at the Good Life from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
Miller has been working at the Good Life as a manager, but wanted to broaden her experience by hosting a new lunch menu within the popular lounge, which will offer small plates that change by the week.
"We'll be serving in small flights," said Miller. "The idea behind it is, when I go to lunch, I'll have a burger and fries and I'll be stuffed even though I only had one thing. With doing it in small flights, you can come and share and get a little bit of everything."
The tastes this week of Oct. 22 include Shrimp Louie Lettuce Wraps, Friend Pot Stickers, Caprese Martinis, Steak and Pepper Rolls, Cioppino, Cheese Cake, and much more.
The menu will change each week, said Miller, based on what is fresh and seasonal, though popular items will remain on the menu each week.
"The style of food will change seasonally," said Miller. "Heavy soups for winters, chilled gazpachos for summer, etc. Other restaurants, they have the same menu for years, so this will be a little different in that way."
In addition to a Taste of the Good Life, there will also be a Sip of the Good Life, with flights of beverages such as a Bloody Mary Board, wine flights, margarita flights, mimosa flights, and more.
Living the Good Life already offers dinner served until 10 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday, and the lunch menu is sure to be a delicious addition.
You can learn more about their lunch offerings at their website, https://livethegoodlife.info/, which will update weekly with the new menus, or you can stop by and grab a taste for yourself at 1480 North Carson Street.
