Aloha from the Boys and Girls Club Annual Luau
Hundreds of people donned leis and Hawaiian garb Sunday for the annual Boys and Girls Club Luau at the new Multi-Purpose Athletic Center.
The Luau is the Club’s largest fundraiser featuring all-you-can-eat BBQ, cocktails, a silent auction, and a live auction. This was the Luau’s first year at the MAC and included tours of the Boys and Girls Club and its new Teen Center.
Nevada’s Boys and Girls Club Youth of the Year, Autumn Cuellar, addressed the crowd and spoke of the importance the Club had in her life. She is a 2015 graduate of Carson High School and is now pursuing degree in Engineering.
Boys and Girls Clubs of Western Nevada has been a cornerstone of the Carson City community since opening its doors in 1993. Serving some 2,000 youth, Boys and Girls Clubs of Western Nevada provides a safe, structured and positive environment for young people after school, during holidays and summer vacation.
