Carson City's 'Jazz and Beyond' Festival to begin live-streaming music series Sunday
The 2020 Jazz and Beyond Festival continues with a series of live-streamed, streamed, and virtual events from August 30 to September 27, 2020.
The first event, on Sunday, August 30, at 3:00 p.m., features The Jazzettes - Cami Thompson, Erika Paul, and Julie Machado - three wildly talented singing musician friends who may change the way you look at Jazz.
“The Jazzettes performed live at Jazz & Beyond last year,” said David Bugli, a co-leader of the festival. “The audience loved them, and we knew we had to have them back. This trio of strong singers play piano, upright bass, and percussion, and draw from 100 years of great music.”
The event will be live-streamed on Facebook from Mike Epps’ A to Zen Performance Venue in Carson City. Production crew is Kelly Dodge, audio, and Dan Palmer, video. To watch, go to facebook.com/jazzcarsoncity at 3:00 p.m. Sunday. Future live-streamed events will also initiate from this Facebook page. For notifications, “like” the page and select "notifications on" from the pull-down menu labeled “following.”
