Carson City Fire Department called to assist fighting Pleasant Valley wildfire
UPDATE 8:51PM: I-580 has been cleared for traffic in both directions at Bowers Mansion, according to the Nevada Department of Transportation. Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District has revised the size of the fire to 12.5 acres.

UPDATE 8PM: Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District says the Temelec Fire, now contained, was likely caused by a car fire. Multiple agencies responded including Carson City Fire Department, BLM, Reno Fire Department, Sparks Fire Department, and the U.S. Forest Service. Four aircraft supported fire suppression. Officials say the aim is to have northbound I-580 at Bowers Mansion opened by 8:30 p.m.

UPDATE 7PM: Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District reports forward progress stopped on Temelec Fire, which has burned around 50 acres. No structures threatened at this time.

UPDATE 6:53PM: The Nevada Highway Patrol reports all northbound and southbound travel lanes of I-580 are closed between Bowers Mansion and Mt. Rose Highway due to the fire. NHP advises that 395A is accessible. Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District advises no structures are threatened at this time and the fire has burned around 50 acres.

Multiple fire agencies, including the Carson City Fire Department, were called early Monday evening to a wildfire in the Pleasant Valley area of Washoe County. A portion of northbound I-580 has been closed at Bowers Mansion.
The Temelec Fire was reported at before 5:30 p.m. Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District is the lead agency. It has advised motorists to avoid the area. Sierra Front Interagency Dispatch Center reports the fire has burned 20 acres. As of 6:10 p.m. it had not been contained.
The Nevada Highway Patrol reports I-580 has been closed northbound at Bowers Mansion.
