Charter brings C-SPAN bus to Carson City, Reno Thursday
C-SPAN and Charter have partnered to bring the 2013 C-SPAN Bus to Carson City and Reno on Thursday, April 4. During the stops, visitors will have the opportunity to learn about C-SPAN’s public affairs programming and resources.
The interactive bus will be at the Nevada State Legislative Building, 9:30-11 a.m. at the corner of 4th Street and South Carson Street in Carson City.
After completing its Campaign 2012 travels, the C-SPAN Bus is now in its 20th year on the road and has a new look and a new season of tours. It is visiting numerous cities, schools and universities across the country, promoting C-SPAN’s educational and political resources for students, teachers and community members along the way.
The Bus also is promoting a new C-SPAN original series First Ladies: Influence and Image, which airs every Monday night at 9 p.m. ET on C-SPAN. From Martha Washington to Michelle Obama, C-SPAN is presenting a comprehensive look at the lives and legacies of each of the first ladies. Aboard the C-SPAN Bus, visitors will learn about the following programming and resources via interactive technology:
— C-SPAN’s in-depth public affairs event coverage of the House of Representatives, Senate and a variety of hearings and panels
— Online resources including archived video going back to 1987 through C-SPAN’s vast Video Library and Congressional Chronicle
Social media connections including Facebook, Twitter, Foursquare, YouTube, XM Radio, and mobile apps
The Carson City and Reno events are in partnership with Charter.
