Sushi lovers should head to Kim Lee’s Sushi for two for one beer and sake; just save some upside down shrimp for me.

The RAM Clinic begins today. It’s first come first served, so you’ll be in line a while if you’d like to be seen; bring something to snack on and entertain yourself with. Downtown will be the place to be tonight. Notch 8 will be making their first appearance in several months with a show at Westside Pour House. Carson Cigar is still celebrating its 20th birthday, so enjoy live music with Bread and Butter tonight. Comma Coffee will be filled with fun and laughter. The annual Tickled Pink World Dance Open Floor is including a lip sync contest for the first time, so it should be a good time had by all.

Tahoe South goes big with revitalization, major enhancements into 2015-16 winter season

Tahoe South is destination vacation central for the 2015-16 ski season with more than $200 million in major enhancements in lodging, recreation and dining hot spot renovations that are underway.

Donors sought for Celebrity Chef and Harvest Dinner fundraiser for Greenhouse Project

It’s that time of year again, when sponsors are sought to support the Celebrity Chef and Harvest Dinner, hosted by Cafe at Adele’s in Carson City and now in its sixth year.

A major donor, (composed of one donor or many) for the amount of $5,000 is still needed. The $5,000 match is collected through donations both large and small, by dinner patrons.

Embracing the area's design and manufacturing community, the Capital City Arts Initiative's [CCAI] exhibition, Industrial Art, is now at the Carson City Library. The show, previously at the CCAI Courthouse Gallery, will be available at the Library through November 19.

The Library will host a public reception for Industrial Art on Friday, October 2, 3:30-5pm in honor of Manufacturer's Month [October]. The Library’s MT1 training room and the Digitorium will also feature students’ manufacturing activities during the open house event.

Join the Nevada Humane Society at Lake Tahoe Brewing Company for the first annual ‘Brew-paw.’ Adoptable pets, a raffle, and more await. Don’t miss out on the downtown walk Sunday following coffee and mimosas at Adele’s. The ‘wag-n-walk’ will end up at the Visitor’s Center where you will be rewarded with a special pet tag.

The varsity football game against Hug High School starts at 7 p.m. following the Homecoming Float Parade. Catch some live music at Living the Good Life or Westside Pour House. Capital Eats inside of Westside Pour House just started a Tuesday night Basque dinner, but you’ll want to call for reservations and information on this week’s menu. Get your wing fix Firkin and Fox: it’s all you can eat chicken wings today. Save room for dessert, though, National Ice Cream Cone Day is worth celebrating.

Oktoberfest brings taste of Germany to Lake Tahoe's Camp Richardson

Oktoberfest, the yearly celebration of all things German, will have a taste of California on the shores of Lake Tahoe at Camp Richardson Historic Resort and Marina Oct. 3-4.

This popular annual event will feature German beers brewed here in the Golden State. Saint Archer Brewery of San Diego created a beer infused bratwurst exclusively for the event with its IPA. And another San Diego firm, Ballast Point’s Longfin Lager will be on pour.
