Bikes for Badges motorcycle run confirmed for Oct. 10 in Carson City
A motorcycle run event, Bikes for Badges, has been scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 10, in Carson City. While the event honors Deputy Carl Howell and benefits the Howell family survivors, this run also recognizes all the Northern Nevada support that law enforcement agencies receive every day, said Carson City Sheriff Ken Furlong.
"This is our opportunity to give back just as well, in appreciation for every person who stood up for us and stands by our sides daily," he said.
This motor run is being put on by the BTLS Foundation, Harrah’s Reno, KRZQ Radio 104.1, Chester’s Harley Davidson Reno. Go here for registration details. This will be the only event provided in full cooperation with the Northern Nevada law enforcement agencies.
Promoters suggest the event will bring as many as 200 to 1,000 riders.
