Santa will be making an appearance with a music-filled parade through downtown Carson City this Saturday, Dec. 8. Children, veterans, and community members are welcomed to join in the parade to help escort Santa through the town.

UPDATE 4:38PM: Two people were injured in the Monday afternoon crash at Spooner Junction, with one person flown by Care Flight and the other taken by ground ambulance to the trauma ward at Renown Medical Center.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.

Carson City Fire Department, sheriff's deputies and the Nevada Highway Patrol responded late Monday afternoon to a vehicle accident in the area of Spooner Junction, Highway 50 and Highway 395, South Carson Street.

Three women were arrested late Friday night at 10 p.m. in the 900 block of South Carson Street for suspicion of felony possession of methamphetamine, a Carson City sheriff's deputy reported.
