Carson City Board of Supervisors Ward 1
Stacey Giomi: 14,373 (66.54 percent)
John Wood: 7,228 (33.46 percent)
Carson City Justice of the Peace Department 2, Nonpartisan, 6-year term
Kristin Luis: 11,079 (50.92 percent)
Ryan Russell: 10,680 (49.08 percent)
Carson City Sheriff
Kenny Furlong: 17,536 (78.86 percent)
Lorne R. Houle: 4,700 (21.14 percent)

2018 Nevada Day Parade Entries and Divisions Line Up Locations

There are 215 entries in this year's parade.

This is a bit lengthy so I apologize but so is the ride through the justice system. Entering the justice system is nothing like people think. You think it's as easy as you are a victim and the bad guy will be punished.
Monday night forum hosts Carson City candidates; second forum held tonight, Tuesday, Oct. 16

The League of Women Voters of Northern Nevada, partnered with Sierra Nevada Forums, American Association of University Women Capital Branch, PFLAG Carson Region, Partnership Carson City, and the Carson City Arts and Culture Coalition are hosting the series, the last of which will be held tonight, Tuesday, October 16.

'Have a Heart' celebration fundraiser at Glen Eagles generates $31,000 for FISH
Submitted by editor on Tue, 04/01/2014 - 2:18pmFriends in Service Helping, also known as FISH, raised nearly $31,000 with 37 celebrity waiters and nearly 400 in attendance Saturday night at Glen Eagles in Carson City.
This fundraiser will allow FISH to continue renovations on their 50 year old buildings in Carson City and will help in replacing their aging homeless shelter van. Special thanks to Dick Campagni Capitol Ford/Hyundai, and Carson City Toyota/Scion for donating a $1,000 gas card for our drawing and the Glen Eagle’s staff for a flawless and delicious dinner event.
Carson City District Court Judge Jim Wilson files for re-election
Submitted by Jeff Munson on Sat, 01/04/2014 - 7:10amJudge Jim Wilson filed for reelection as district court judge. His campaign committee includes: Roger Williams, Mary Pierczynski, Frank Flaherty, Bill Brewer, Ryan Russell, and Daniel Gonzales.
Judge Wilson was elected to the First Judicial District Court, which serves Carson City and Storey County, in 2008.
