NDOT to install traffic roundabout on State Route 88 at Centerville Lane in Douglas County

CARSON CITY, Nev. – Daytime single lane closures, followed by a 10-day intersection closure, will begin Monday, April 23 on State Route 88 at Centerville Lane in Douglas County as the Nevada Department of Transportation installs a traffic roundabout.

Carson City Sheriff's arrest log: Reckless driver busted for DUI, dangerous weapon possession

A 37 year-old Carson City man was arrested at 4:20 a.m. Saturday morning in the area of Koontz Lane and South Carson Street on possession of a dangerous weapon, a gross misdemeanor, as well as misdemeanor reckless driving and first offense driving under the influence (DUI) of alcohol, a Carson City Sheriff's deputy said.

As you drive along Highway 395 during the holiday season, there’s a good chance you’ve noticed the little wooden reindeer wrapped in lights. Those are the Willow Reindeer, and it’s an art project that gets bigger every year.

Hundreds of handcrafted willow reindeer are installed along 62 miles of Highway 395, spanning from south of Gardnerville all the way north of Reno. And now it’s time for them to head back to the North Pole, but it’s a task too large for one man.
