Carson Lodge Poker Night Fundraiser - Open to All

Submitted by editor on Tue, 02/07/2017 - 2:51pmOn Monday, Feb. 6, the Nevada Department of Agriculture gathered 16 feral horses that were wandering in east Carson City for about three weeks. The horses will be vaccinated with fertility control drugs, as part of an agreement between the NDA and the American Wild Horse Preservation Campaign and then relocated to an area south of Highway 50 near Stagecoach.

Muscle Powered Easy Hike to Centennial Park East

We will walk the Lower Road which loops back around the golf course. Closed-toed shoes and water are required. Bring a friend and/or friendly dogs. Walking sticks recommended.
Muscle Powered Easy Hike program are hikes of between 2 to 4 miles in length, often with some elevation gain (no more than 500') and can be on a paved path, smooth wide trail, or single track. The hikes will usually be of approximately 1 1/2 duration.
