Doors open at 5:30 p.m. An Angel Donor for the evening is also sought.

Give A Dog A Bone pet food drive
Submitted by admin on Thu, 10/11/2018 - 10:06amMichael Hohl Motor Company is proud to launch their 5th Annual "Give A Dog A Bone" pet food drive to fill a pickup for the nonprofit organization Pets of the Homeless. They provide pet food and basic emergency veterinary care to the homeless pets in local communities across the United States including Carson City.
Last year’s drive collected almost 1,200 pounds of pet food and supplies valued at more than $3,000.

The trees and aspen "quakies" in Alpine County have now peaked. Another place to enjoy the fall colors would be at Taylor Creek on Emerald Bay Road near South Lake Tahoe.

Hop and Mae Adams Foundation to collect donations for Carson City charities at Nevada Day

The charities will be collecting $5 donations for vehicle parking on Nevada Day in parking lots owned and maintained by the Foundation.

The aspens in the Hope Valley area have started to show their true colors. Days are shorter and the water temperatures have cooled considerably. Which means the fish will start to feed again.
Dayton Valley Wildlife Reststop accepting donations for shorebirds needing rehab

NDOW continues efforts to monitor waterfowl botulism in Northern Nevada

“Although not harmful to humans; when waterfowl ingest the toxin produced by the botulism bacteria, the toxin affects the nervous system and leads to progressive paralysis,” said Russell Woolstenhulme, Migratory Game Bird Staff Biologist at NDOW.
