Saturday Easy Hike to V&T Railroad Grade hosted by Muscle Powered

Please join Muscle Powered on Saturday, April 13 for an easy hike on a portion of the V&T Railroad Grade, northwest Carson City. Meet at the dirt parking lot opposite Murphy Drive on Combs Canyon parking area. Hike on a portion of the old V&T Railroad and enjoy fabulous views of Carson City and Eagle Valley. Hike distance will range between 2-4 miles, depending on trail condition.

Apologies to all but Carson City BMX is postponing their Open House and start of racing to Easter weekend, April 20 and 21.
Track prep has been slow going but heck or high water pushing to make this happen. So now, Carson City BMX Open House is scheduled for Saturday, 20 April 2019, 1-4 pm and start our 2019 season on Sunday, 21 April 2019, signups 9-10 am (must be a USABMX member).

Carson City residents experience colored tap water as public works does system flushes

Carson City residents experienced discolored tap water on Tuesday, which, according to Carson City Public Works, is caused by non-toxic, naturally occurring minerals that have accumulated in the water system. Public Works is currently spot checking and flushing the water systems and taps should be all clear within 24-hours.

Carson City's Muscle Powered Trash Mob collects nearly 600 pounds of waste Saturday

This Saturday morning 19 intrepid Carson City area "Trash Mobbers" came out in the drizzle to pick up what others left behind. We met at the south end of North Lompa Lane and everyone spread out along the Multi-Use Path to gather nearly 600 pounds of trash from that point south to 5th street.

Please join us for an 8-mile round-trip hike that traverses most of the "Escape from Prison Hill" trail. We will head up Dead Truck Trail, cross over to hike down to the most western end of Prison Hill, turn south and then east to arrive at the highest point of Prison Hill.
