Here is a sneak peek at where to find the fun in Carson City, Douglas, Dayton, and Virginia City. Most all of the egg hunts are free, but I've made sure to include an entry price if one exists. I’ve listed them by start time, and have the town listed first to make an event near you easy to locate.

Today kicks off the three-day High School Rodeo at the Douglas Fairgrounds, and if all goes well, it should remain dry for our local ropers and riders. Kids will want to test their skill at the ‘Pitch, Hit, Run’ Competition at the Boys and Girls Club. Secret Agents are the topic at the monthly Mike Thompson Lecture at the Plaza Hotel if you’re looking for intrigue.

It is a daily commitment to linking children and their families to diverse books, languages, and cultures.
The Carson City Library is hosting programs during the month of April to celebrate Día to promote diversity, language, culture, and learning in Carson City!
To participate:
Pick up a Día Passport at any Día program. The kick off event is on Wednesday, 4/5/17.
Capital City Farm Days to teach youth about agriculture in Nevada

There will be 28 presenters teaching elementary-age youth about Nevada agriculture, where food and fiber come from, and environmental issues related to agriculture.

Author William 'Bill' Hill Visits Leisure Hour Club

William Hill is a naturalized northern Nevadan, a native of Indianapolis, Indiana and a product of many places and stories. Bill has lived in numerous locales, including Prairie Village, KS, Bristol, TN, Dallas and Denton, TX, and in south and north Lake Tahoe, NV. Currently he creates from the foothills of the eastern Sierra.
Northern Nevada Spring Faire in Carson City set for April 15 at Fuji Park

Psst… Daytonites… Your kids are on spring break right now, and Carson has some great ways to keep them entertained. Younger ones will enjoy a trip to the Children’s Museum of Northern Nevada; Tuesdays feature a story and craft activity that’s included with admission. A quick trip to the Galaxy Theater website gets you a rewards card good for Tuesday discount tickets. The Deputy Howell Memorial Musical Festival is holding a volunteer organization meeting tonight at Battle Born Harley.
Legislator, backed by big beer, proposes limits to Nevada's brew pubs

A century later, the importance of skill-related careers and training are also being emphasized closer to home. Nevada Gov. Brian Sandoval and Carson City Mayor Bob Crowell declared February as Career and Technical Education Month.
