Join the Carson City Library for Dia!
El Día de los niños/El Día de los libros (Children’s Day/Book Day), commonly known as Día, is a nationally recognized initiative that emphasizes the importance of literacy for all children from all backgrounds. It is a daily commitment to linking children and their families to diverse books, languages, and cultures.
The Carson City Library is hosting programs during the month of April to celebrate Día to promote diversity, language, culture, and learning in Carson City!
To participate:
Pick up a Día Passport at any Día program. The kick off event is on Wednesday, 4/5/17.
Earn stickers by participating in each program to mark-off in your passport.
Each a raffle ticket entry for each program participated in. A raffle drawing will occur at the End of Día Party on Thursday, 4/27/17 (must be present to win).

Participants must have a library card to participate in library programming, stop by our Information desk today to get one! Please note that patrons aged 9 and under must be accompanied by a caregiver at least 13 years of age at all times. *Seats and materials are limited for various programs. Registration is required to reserve a spot.
Día programming was funded in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services, an independent federal agency that grows and sustains a “Nation of Learners,” because lifelong learning is critical to success and the Nevada State Library and Archives under the Library Services and Technology Act, P.L. 108-81, as amended, through the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
