Third annual summer event for Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Nevada hosted in Genoa
Submitted by Kelsey Penrose on Fri, 08/02/2019 - 1:56pmGARDNERVILLE, Nev. – The Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Nevada hosts the third annual Summer Soiree fundraiser to help build a clubhouse for Carson Valley members, Sunday, Aug. 11, at 4 p.m. in Genoa.
Currently, the Club activities are hosted at Pau Wa Lu Middle School, but due to school events and availability of classrooms, there are many limitations to what the Club can provide to the youth of Carson Valley without having its own location.

On Sunday, August 4, at 10 a.m., Glen Whorton, President of the Nevada State Prison Preservation Society, returns to the park to speak on this year’s topic “The Great State Embezzlement.” This is a free event for all to attend.
