Carson City Sheriff’s arrest log: Women arrested on multiple drug charges after traffic stop

Two women were arrested Friday and face felony drug charges after a vehicle stop led to the recovery of pills, pot and methamphetamine.

Stephanie Farmer, 27, and Heather Olea, 28, were arrested Friday, 7:30 p.m. in the 500 block of East William Street.

Farmer faces felony charges of suspicion of possession of drugs with intent to sell, possession of methamphetamine, possession of dangerous drugs without a prescription, three counts possession of drug paraphernalia, misdemeanor possession of marijuana and criminal contempt. Olea was arrested for suspicion of two counts felony possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to the arrest report, a Carson City Sheriff’s Office sergeant observed a vehicle roll through a stop sign. The officer then observed the vehicle abruptly swerve into the left turn lane. The officer made a traffic stop and met with the driver, who apologized and said she changed her mind at the last second and swerved to get some gas.

Farmer gave the officer her medical marijuana card but advised she had no marijuana in the vehicle. The officer asked if he could run a drug dog around the car and she replied he could. The dog alerted positive. A deputy found a container containing methamphetamine on the front passenger side and arrested Olea for possession of meth. She also admitted to hiding a meth pipe on her body which was removed at jail, the arrest report states.

Deputies continued the search of the vehicle and located a pink box that contained more than 50 plastic baggies and 22.9 grams of marijuana, and two glass jars that contained pills, 14 Alprazolam, and 4 Cyclobenzaphrine. Both sets of pills are available through prescription only. More meth was located in the box, as well as a bong and two small glass pipes with marijuana resident. Bail for Farmer: $12,374. Bail for Olea: $3,637.
