It's the right time for wine: Make room Saturday for Downtown Carson City wine walk
The Downtown Business Association is proud to host a downtown Wine Walk in Carson City every single month. That does mean that you get a mix of rain, shine, and snow throughout the year. Even though highs will be in the low 50s with plenty of sunshine, wear a fall sweater or jacket. You'll have until 5 p.m. to hit as many stops as possible before the raffle begins.
Details below:
Every first Saturday more than 30 shops, restaurants, businesses, and organizations stock up on wine and goodies and throw open their doors to the crowds of merry-makers. It's always a great reason to explore downtown. Get a jump on your holiday gift list while supporting the local shops that make this valley unique.
The wine walk runs from 1pm to 5pm. Sign up at the Carson Nugget, Cactus Jacks, Mama Em’s Bell, Book and Candle, Carson Jewelry and Loan, Remedy's Bar, or Touched by Angels. The raffle will be at the Carson Nugget at 5pm.
For $15 participants will receive a commemorative wine glass and endless reasons to stroll through Downtown Carson City sipping and tasting the afternoon away. Bring your wine walk glass with the Carson City Logo on it and pay only $13. With paid admission you will receive a hand stamp, glass, map of participating stops, and a chance to win raffle prizes.
Stops are as far north as Just Brew It, Reruns Consignment, and Little Monsters, as far south as Comma Coffee and Mama Em's Bell, Book, and Candle with plenty in between. Telegraph Square is hopping with the Nevada Day Store, Rockin and Rollin, the Old Globe, Westside Pour House, and Artsy Fartsy Art Gallery. Don't forget about participants off the beaten Curry and Carson St. paths: the Brewery Arts Center, St. Peter's Episcopal Church, and the Elks Club would love for you to stop by. Carson Visitors Center and the Purple Avocado are not to be missed!
Some special things going on this month are a book signings with authors at Morley’s Books and at Comma Coffee. Don’t miss the artists, authors, crafters and more in the pop-up Artisan Alley off West Telegraph Street, by the Nevada Day Store. St. Peter’s Episcopal Church is featuring live music and you’ll find local favorites, Hick’ry Switch, at Touched by Angels.
The Downtown Business Association has a new website to keep you updated with the great business that make up the core of our historical downtown. You can check it out at www.DowntownCarson.org. You can also follow the DBA on Facebook here. Be safe, Carson City, and have a wonderful wine walk!
