Two vacant restaurant properties in Carson City will be seeing new ventures take over soon

Two vacant restaurant spaces could be seeing a revamp and new life, according to Carson City’s NAI Alliance.

The first of the two is the vacant Flavors of India building, which closed down during the pandemic.

In July, they reopened with limitations, sharing the space at 725 Basque Way, and is providing food for pick-up on Sundays and Mondays. For more information, click here.

The second of the two buildings is the old Q’s Barbecue on Fairview Drive, in the Lowe’s shopping center near the Fairview CVS.

Q’s closed down permanently following a fire in the building in 2017 which caused smoke damage inside the building, as well as kitchen equipment.

Since that time the building has remained vacant.

On NAI’s facebook announcement that the buildings had been sold or leased, it states: “Watch for exciting new facelifts and total remodels with exciting new occupants, coming soon!”

At this time it is unknown who will be taking over the buildings, or what type of restaurants or businesses will be opening in their place.

According to Andie Wilson of NAI Alliance, the property that once housed Q's Barbecue will take on an entirely new venture and will not be a restaurant, but she cannot speak any further on it at this time.

Carson Now will update with additional information as it becomes available.
