Dayton Valley Days this weekend
Music, parades, and plenty of fun are in store as the 22nd Dayton Valley Days kicks of Saturday and Sunday.
The two-day event features more than 100 food, music, arts and crafts booths, plus historical demonstrations and many other attractions.
Festivities will be at Old Town Dayton. A pancake breakfast by the Kiwanis Club begins at 7 a.m. both days. Festivities run from 9 a.m. to dusk on Saturday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday.
There will also be great food for sale, from terryaki sticks to Indian tacos. And don't forget to check out the "Misfits" at 4:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, and a silent auction inside the Dayton Community Center at 170 Pike Street.
Dayton Valley Days will benefit many favorite area programs this year, including Dayton Resource Bank, Dayton Food Pantry, Community Roots' community gardens, Central Lyon Youth Connections' student assistance programs such as Project Success, Healthy Communities Coalition's initiatives, etc.
