Amodei statement on 9/11 anniversary
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Mark Amodei (NV-2) today released the following statement on the 13th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks:
“There is a commemorative license plate in Nevada featuring the words ‘United We Stand’ and ‘We Will Never Forget.’ On this 13th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, my thoughts and prayers continue to go out to the 2,977 victims whose lives were mindlessly taken by evil men in the name of radical Islam.
“It is appropriate for us all to not forget the World Trade Center, the Pentagon and the ‘Let’s roll’ heroes of Flight 93. It is also appropriate to not forget the victims of more than three decades of such attacks targeting Americans, including:

“It is an uncomfortable, but undeniable fact that those who advocate and practice violent jihad must be dealt with decisively and effectively on a long-term and aggressive basis. To do less is disrespectful to our fellow Americans who have lost their lives. Rest in peace. And to the families of the deceased, I promise I will not forget.”
