Internet and cable TV down? Charter says outage affecting Carson City area customers

UPDATE 7:59PM: Cable and internet service in the Carson City and surrounding areas via Charter are reportedly returning with spotty reception in some areas and full service in others.

UPDATE 6:42PM: Minden and Gardnerville Charter customers in Douglas County also report cable TV, internet and phone outage.

UPDATE 6:10PM: Carson City and Dayton area Charter customers are reporting they are without cable TV, internet and phone.

Charter Communications has confirmed a widespread internet outage that began at around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Carson City area.
A cable television outage happened within 30 minutes of the internet outage.
The outage is also affecting Dayton area customers. No word yet on Carson Valley customers.
A customer service representative for Charter said there is an outage and it is being addressed by technicians. The internet and cable TV provider did not have an estimated time the issue would be resolved.
Both residential users and business users are unable to access their internet as of shortly before 6 p.m. Tuesday evening.
