Carson City woman arrested for drug possession while sitting on a curb, waiting for a ride to work
A 44-year-old Carson City woman was arrested at a local gas station for possession of controlled substances after she was approached by a Carson City deputy while sitting on a curb waiting for a ride to work.
According to the report, Trisha Gill was arrested by Special Enforcement Team deputies Thursday morning after the deputies spotted Gill sitting on a curb outside a gas station.
Deputies stopped and spoke with the woman and asked her what she was doing. She said she was waiting for a ride to go to work.
Deputies asked who was picking her up, and she gave them a man’s name. Deputies asked her for his last name, and she said she didn’t know it, which deputies “thought was strange.” Gill stated that the man gives her a ride daily to work and that they work together.
Deputies asked her for her ID and she gave it. When she was looking in her purse for her ID, deputies noticed two bottles of liquor, and Gill stated she is an alcoholic.
Deputies asked if they could search her purse and she gave consent.
Inside, deputies located a methamphetamine pipe with methamphetamine inside, a tooter straw, two baggies with methamphetamine, and a plastic bag containing (psychedelic) mushrooms.
Deputies took her into custody.
