Carson City Fire Department called to brush fires along Highway 50 in East Carson City
UPDATE: 6:50PM: Carson City firefighters on scene report all fires that started after 6 p.m. along Highway 50 in East Carson City have been knocked down. Crews are in the mop up stage.
Fire investigators were called to the scene. The start of the fires appears to be suspicious according to fire crews on scene.

UPDATE: Firefighters have been able to knock down at least one of the fires, according to dispatch. Highway 50 has been reduced to one lane.

Carson City Fire Department has been called to at least two, possibly three brush fires along Highway 50 in East Carson City. The fires have been reported near Flint Drive, according to dispatch. Fires were being reported starting at around 6:15 p.m.
Arriving firefighters have been able to knocked down at least one of the fires along with help from civilians who have pulled over on the side of the road to help douse the flames with shovels, according to dispatch.
The main fire near the Dump Hill road area, was said to be around a quarter acre in size.
