Carson City firefighters respond to brush fire at Centennial and Arrowhead
UPDATE 3PM: Carson City Fire Department crews knocked down a brush fire that started just after 1:30 p.m. near Eagle Valley Golf Course off of Arrowhead. The fire burned between a half to 1 acre, said Carson City Fire Department Chief Bob Schreihans.
A fence caught on fire as well as a number of trees, which put up a large smoke plume. Also responding to the brush fire was a Forest Service crew that was in in the area as well as Central Lyon Fire Protection District. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

2:41PM UPDATE: Fire crews have knocked down the fire off of Arrowhead near Centennial Park. Crews have responded to the 2700 block of South Carson Street for a semi on fire.

Carson City Fire Department crews were called this afternoon to a brush fire in the area of Arrowhead and Centennial Park.
Crews were called at 1:42 p.m. after receiving multiple 911 calls of a brush fire burning in the area, sending smoke and threatening a structure.
