Carson Tahoe Transitional Rehabilitation Center receives 2024 bronze National Quality Award
Prestige Care, a leading provider of senior living and skilled nursing and rehabilitation care services, is proud to announce that its Carson City skilled nursing center recently earned the 2024 bronze “Commitment to Quality” National Quality Award from the American Health Care Association and the National Center for Assisted Living.
The AHCA/NCAL awarded Carson Tahoe Transitional Rehabilitation Center with the 2024 Bronze Achievement in Quality Award.
The Bronze Quality Award is the first of three progressive distinctions skilled nursing centers may earn through the National Quality Award Program, which recognizes long-term care communities across the country that demonstrate a dedication to improving health care outcomes for seniors and people with disabilities.
Candidates were assessed on their organization’s mission, vision and key factors that lead to success. In Nevada, Carson Tahoe Care Center was honored alongside only one other center that demonstrated ongoing learning initiatives and performance improvements.
“Everyone at Carson Tahoe understands the importance of creating the most inviting, well-rounded rehabilitation center possible,” said Matthew Rhodes, administrator at Carson Tahoe Transitional Rehabilitation Center. “We’re honored to be recognized by the AHCA and NCAL, and are eager to implement what we’ve learned from the application process to further elevate our commitment to exceptional care.”
The National Quality Award Program was created in tandem by the AHCA and NCAL to establish attainable goals, identify critical areas for improvement and implement a plan to strengthen core values for long-term and post-acute care organizations. The program is structured in three levels — bronze, silver and gold — which evaluate long-term and post-acute care organizations’ capabilities against nationally recognized standards for excellence.
The National Quality Award Program is opt-in and long-term and post-acute care organizations must apply for review by the AHCA and NCAL. Applicants are required to receive the “bronze — commitment to quality” and “silver — achievement in quality” awards before applying at the gold level.
