Non-injury accident reported at Roop and Hot Springs Saturday evening

A non-injury vehicle accident was reported at the intersection of Roop and Hot Springs at 5:22 p.m. Saturday evening.

First responders are enroute to the scene.

Motorists should seek alternate routes or use caution while in the area.

There will be a team of CCHHS licensed nurses at each school to administer the flu vaccine. Carson City Fire Department and sheriff's deputies were called late Wednesday night to the 3500 block of Highway 50 East near the Phillips Motel and Mobile Home Park for a travel trailer on fire.

CARSON CITY, Nev. - It took 65 years to get to this day and for most of those days, Glenn Lucky has been feeling pretty lucky. His positive attitude and determination have been inspiring others around him.

UPDATE 446PM: Forward progress on the three fires has stopped and no other fire department engines will be needed. There's a total of 1/2-acre that has burned with firefighters now mopping up the hotspots, said Carson City Fire Chief Sean Slamon.

Carson City Fire Department was called Wednesday afternoon to the area of Highway 50 East between Deer Run and Drako Way for a brush fire.

UPDATE 2:19PM: The fire has been contained. Engines are being released, however the water tenders will stay in place for now, according to a Carson City Fire Department Battalion Chief on scene. The equipment that caught fire is cooling down with water being used to douse the hot spots.
