FISH unveils Crisis Cab on Friday, upcoming ‘Have a Heart’ fundraising dinner scheduled for June 1
Carson City’s own Friends In Service Helping unveiled the new Crisis Cab on Friday morning along with breakfast.
The Crisis Cab is FISH’s transport vehicle, which will be used to transport those in crisis to Mallory Behavioral Health Crisis Center, a department of Carson Tahoe Regional Healthcare.
"This is the first ribbon cutting we have done for the launching of a donated automobile that will serve FISH clients who may need a ride to the Mallory Behavioral Center thus freeing up our law enforcement personnel," said the Carson City Chamber of Commerce. "Mental health continues to be a national issue and Carson is trying to make certain we can accommodate those who may have some issues. Thanks to all those who continue to give to great causes like FISH."
In two weeks, FISH will also be hosting its “Have a Heart” dinner on June 1, complete with local celebrity waiters raising money to provide for the hungry and homeless of our community.
Hosted by the Casino Fandango, there are two dinner times for the fundraiser, once at 5 p.m. and once at 7 p.m.
Pricing for the fundraiser is $65 per person, or $600 for a table of ten.
The ticket includes dinner and dessert, and there will be a cash bar available.
All proceeds for the event go toward supporting those in need.
