Healthy stop: New juice and salad shop to open in downtown Carson City
So Juicy is Downtown Carson City's newest juice and salad bar, which will soon be serving up all things healthy and delicious once construction on their interior is completed, anticipated to be in early June.
According to So Juicy co-owners Shalyn Lewallen and Kacie DeKruse, their mission is to bring Health, Quality and Integrity to the community through the power of healthy eating.
On their website, they have a full listing of ingredients and the health benefits of each, which falls in line with their focus on education.
"Our desire to educate our community is one of our core values," they said. "We will incentive our customers to become more educated around their health by helping them save money on our products with our loyalty program."
The pair started So Juicy after DeKruse's husband Bryan lost his previous wife to brain cancer. Both DeKruse and Lewallen helped Bryan care for her, and when her doctor suggested she be put on a raw diet, Bryan spent hours every day juicing. The pair remembered thinking it would be so much easier for him if there was a place they could buy simple juices for her raw diet.
In addition to juice, there will also be an assortment of healthy dining option, including açaí bowls, Muesli (basically overnight-oatmeal with yummy, healthy twists), a salad bar with fish, chicken and tuna, smoothies, and more.
So Juicy will be located at 208 N. Carson Street. You can find them on Facebook by clicking here. Once an opening date is confirmed we will announced it on Carson Now.
