Carson City, Quad County COVID-19 weekend, Monday briefing: 62 recoveries, 37 new cases

Carson City Health and Human Services is reporting 37 new cases of COVID-19 and 62 recoveries in the Quad County region from Saturday, May 8 to Monday, May 10, 2021.

Saturday, May 8: 15 New Cases and 28 Recoveries
For Saturday, May 8, 2021 CCHHS is reporting 15 new cases and 28 additional recoveries of COVID-19 in the Quad-County Region. This brought the total number of cases to 12,609, with 12,024 recoveries and 226 deaths; 359 cases remained active.

Sunday, May 9: 13 New Cases and 26 Recoveries
For Sunday, May 9, 2021 CCHHIS is reporting 13 new cases and 26 additional recoveries of COVID-19 in the Quad-County Region. This brought the total number of cases to 12,622, with 12,050 recoveries and 226 deaths; 346 cases remained active.

Monday, May 10: 9 New Cases and 8 Recoveries
CCHHS is reporting 9 new cases and 8 additional recoveries of COVID-19 in the Quad-County Region. The weekend numbers and today’s numbers bring the total number of cases to 12,631, with 12,058 recoveries and 226 deaths; 347 cases remain active.

Janssen COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic
Carson City Health and Human Services will host a Janssen COVID-19 vaccine clinic this Wednesday, May 12, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Fuji Park. This is an appointment and Walk-In COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic. All appointments are full but there will be 30 doses available for walk-ins. Go here for more information.

The Carson City Sheriff’s Office is asking the public’s help in attempting to identify a person involved in an incident of possible child luring. On Monday at approximately 11:30 a.m. a young female was walking in the area of Koontz and Hillview in south Carson City. While walking in the area, the young female was approached by an unknown male in a copper colored Ford Ranger pickup.
