Carson City arrests: Man jailed for suspicion of domestic battery
A 48-year-old Carson City man was booked into jail for suspected misdemeanor domestic battery, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.
According to the arrest report, the deputy interviewed the victim and the suspect about the incident. The victim stated her stepfather, who no longer lives at the residence in the 1000 block of Sunset, came to the home to retrieve food and got into a verbal altercation her.
She said he made threats against her and her husband and then grabbed a plastic folding table and slammed it into her lower stomach and then left. She told the deputy she is five weeks pregnant. The incident was witnessed by two others, the report states.
The suspect told deputies the stepdaughter poked him on the bridge of his nose after she began screaming at him. He told the deputy the woman bumped the table and he caught it to keep two computer monitors from falling off.
The man was arrested for suspicion of domestic battery. Bail: $3,137.
