Celebrity Ride set to kick off Bike Month in downtown Carson City
Muscle Powered is hosting the 2017 Carson City Invitational Celebrity Ride Tuesday, May 2 as a part of Bike Month, a nationally recognized celebration of cycling.
Invitees include local, state, and federal elected officials, several public employees, business owners, and community leaders.
Riders will meet up at McFadden Plaza, corner of Third and South Carson streets across from the Nevada Legislature in downtown Carson City at 11 a.m.
There will be a safety brief and the Mayor of Carson City will be offered a change to address the riders before the ride begins.
The route will follow the historical Blue Line through the west end of Carson City with a press photo opportunity in front of the Governor’s Mansion.
Muscle Powered works to make Carson City a better community for all of its citizens by advocating for bicycle and pedestrian friendly infrastructure, educating our community about the environmental and economic benefits of a sustainable and well-connected recreational trail system, and by forming partnerships with local organizations to help us reach these goals.
