Carson City arrests: woman jailed for walking naked along city street
A 37-year-old woman was arrested Wednesday for suspicion of gross misdemeanor indecent exposure and violation of bail conditions, according to a Carson City Sheriff's Office booking report.
According to the report, CCSO deputies responded to the area of North Carson Meadows and E. Robinson Street for a report of a female walking down the road without any clothes on. Dispatch advised it had received numerous phone calls about the female.
A deputy arrived and observed a woman completely naked walking east on the north side of the street. Several residents of the neighborhood pointed toward the female, the report states.
The deputy approached the female at the intersection of Drew Way and East Robinson Street and asked her to stop walking. She continued to walk eastbound. The officer pulled his patrol vehicle in front of a residence, where he exited the vehicle and opened the rear door to the driver side.
As the female approached, he told her to get into the rear seat of the patrol vehicle. She complied and climbed into the rear seat. The officer then obtained her information and conducted and wants and warrant check. The officer learned she is currently on supervision with the Department of Alternative Sentencing.
Clothing was provided to the woman. Officers from DAS arrived and advised they would be placing a "no bail" hold on the woman for violation of bail conditions. Bail for the offense of indecent exposure: $2,500.
