Crime Log: inmates allegedly attack other inmate at Carson City jail

An incident at the Carson City Detention Facility on Monday afternoon led to felony allegations of battery by a prisoner to be added to the list of allegations for two prisoners: Lauren Kaye Smith and Kelly Lynn Davis. The two women are alleged to have attacked another female inmate. Bail has been set at $20,000 for each woman.

Carson City Sheriff's deputies arrested the following individuals for felony or gross misdemeanor allegations:

  • Eric S. Ridge, 27, a Carson City resident, for felony violation of bail conditions. Ridge was also arrested for two misdemeanor allegations of violation of pre-trial conditions and disorderly conduct. No bail has been set.
  • Timothy Hugh Coleman, 41, a Carson City resident, for child abuse, neglect, or endangerment, a gross misdemeanor allegation. Coleman was also arrested for misdemeanor allegations of domestic battery. Bail has been set at $5,500 plus administrative fees.
  • Nathan Gregory Fonseca, 23, a Carson City resident, for second-offense DUI, a gross misdemeanor allegation. Bail is set at $2,500.

Officers also arrested the following individuals for misdemeanor allegations:

  • A 29-year-old Carson City man for probation violation and indecent conduct.
  • A 21-year-old Carson City woman for probation violation.
  • A 19-year-old Carson City woman for violation of a suspended sentence.
  • An 18-year-old Carson City man for contributing to the delinquency of a minor, possession of less than one ounce of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • A 39-year-old Carson City woman for contempt of court.
  • An 18-year-old South Lake Tahoe man for driving under the influence, possession of less than one ounce of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and minor in possession of alcohol.
  • A 25-year-old Reno woman for two failure to appear traffic warrants in her name.
  • A 64-year-old Carson City woman for driving under the influence and failure to maintain a single lane.
  • A 21-year-old Merced, Calif. man for a contempt of court warrant in his name.
  • A 20-year-old Carson City woman for a failure to appear traffic warrant in her name, no proof of insurance, driving under a suspended license, driving under a suspended registration, and possessing expired license plates.

All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty.
