Carson City Fire Department called to vehicle crash involving pedestrian at College Parkway apartments
Carson City Fire Department and sheriff's deputies were called Friday afternoon to a vehicle crash involving a pedestrian in the parking lot of University Heights Apartments at 290 West College Parkway. It is the second vehicle crash involving a pedestrian today.
The call came into dispatch at around 4:10 p.m. A 77-year-old woman sustained serious injuries to both her legs, according to family and law enforcement personnel who were on the scene. The woman was experiencing a large amount of blood loss and a tourniquet was being applied. Care Flight was ordered and will land in a cleared zone at Western Nevada College.
This is the second vehicle crash involving a pedestrian today and the sixth vehicle crash since 8 a.m. Late this morning Carson City Fire Department, ambulance and sheriff's deputies were called to a vehicle crash involving a pedestrian in the area of Stewart and Little streets. The injured pedestrian was taken to the hospital. Their condition is unknown at this time.
